Engeland – Afgelopen weekend kwamen er weer honderden Rolls-Royces en Bentleys bijeen op het Rockingham Castle in Rockingham in Engeland. Niet iedereen weet hoe Sir Henry Royce en Charles Rolls samen dit merk in de exclusieve markt hebben gezet.

Het is een heel interessante geschiedenis. John Miley is al meer dan 40 jaar lid van de Rolls-Royce Enthousiasts’ Club en vertelt het levensverhaal van deze twee, in de autowereld beroemde namen. Een leuk detail: John zijn nummerbord is BWV608, een verwijzing naar een van Johann Sebastiaan Bach zijn orgelwerken. Hij laat de kijker niet alleen zien hoe mooi het rijden is in een Rolls-Royce, ook het orgelwerk BWV608 In Dulci Jubilo is speciaal in Engeland opgenomen voor deze uitzending. One nice detail: John’s number plate is BWV608, a reference to one of the pipe organ works of Johann Sebatian Bach. Not only does he show the viewer how wonderful driving in a Rolls-Royce is, the pipe organ work BWV608 in Dulci Jubilo has been recorded in England especially for this broadcast.
